DALI PHANTOM S-280 In Wall Speaker

Phantom by name, Phantom by nature! DALI’s high-end in-wall system is the ideal setup for home cinema enthusiasts who like their speakers to be heard but not seen. The company has packaged its sonic know how into a series of discrete models to deliver a solid, detailed soundstage every bit as immersive as that developed by regular loudspeakers. With its four drivers, including a Hybrid Tweeter module and two additional passive radiators for extended bass, the PHANTOM S-280 sits at the heart of the system, combining with the smaller S-180 and S-80 to provide a premium cinema soundstage that must be heard to be believed.

One of our goals for the PHANTOM S models was to create a high-end in-wall speaker with a slim profile that allowed for maximum flexibility when installing. We achieved this by keeping the cabinet depth at only 103 mm, which fits into almost any standard wall.

SMC TECHNOLOGY
Advanced Soft Magnetic Compound (SMC), which eliminates variation of flux strength in the magnet gap. It reduces distortion to a minimum compared to conventional drivers.

WIDE DISPERSION
All DALI speakers are designed around the principle of wide dispersion. This entails an off-axis optimisation of the audio reproduction. The technology is perfect for use with install speakers, since they are always mounted flush against either a wall or ceiling.

10" PASSIVE RADIATOR
Featuring a 10" passive bass reflex woofer made of very well behaving carbon fibre - taken from our high end subwoofer 'DALI SUB P-10 DSS
